     We are Bonded, Insured, and Certified - License number 1115 - and have over 20 years experience and training. We have now obtained our Federal Firearms License and so will be adding a new specialty auction dealing with firearms to our list of auctions.

     We regularly advertise in the Morning Sentinel, The Kennebec Journal, The Portland Press Herald, and The Bangor Daily News. For special collections we will advertise in the appropriate papers such as Coin World, The New Town Bee, and/or Antique Trader to name a few. We send out over 1000 paper flyers to individuals and group shops. We have this online site with the auction ads as well. Also, we have an extensive email notification list. Those on the email list get reminders of the auctions and notification of any updates to the flyer.      We have many repeat customers who encourage others to do business with us.  We are highly competitive in our commission rates. We seem to advertise more extensively than other auction houses of our size. We work hard to make you the best return. In addition, if we believe one of your items is of exceptional value, we will (with your permission) refer the item to a specialty auction house, e.g. James. D. Julia, where you may realize a higher possible return. Honesty and fairness in business does make a difference.

     The antiques market is greatly changing with the influence of the computer generation. Consequently, it is difficult for any one person to be completely knowledgeable about every item you have for sale. When you place your collection, estate, or quality consignment up for sale in an auction setting, you reach a large number of individuals with a broad working knowledge of antiques and collectibles.  Also, you can sell an entire estate or collection with the least amount of work done by you. Once you have selected our auction company with which to do business, you can consider your work done - except for cashing your check!
