Poulin Auctions Announces Matching $5 for $5 NRA Foundation Donation

     This auction features phase one of the Bruce Stern collection of 20th century military weapons & accessories. Mr. Stern was a staunch supporter of our gun collecting rights and devoted part of his life supporting the NRA and its efforts to protect these rights. In consideration of Mr. Stern’s loyalties & passions, we are proud to announce a new program to benefit the NRA Foundation: Matching $5 for $5 NRA  Foundation Donation.

     In 2004, after handling the renowned Eldon Owens firearms collection my brother’s auction company, James D. Julia Auctioneers learned of the Owens commitment to the NRA via a significant donation from his estate. At that time, moved by his conviction, they made a pledge to the NRA Foundation to donate $100,000. James D. Julia is pleased and proud to announce that this pledge has been fulfilled and there is now a special fund whose proceeds will be used in perpetuity for the sole purpose of educating youth in shooting firearms skills and safety.

     Starting with this auction, for every gun a client purchases at our firearms auctions, we will suggest that they consider a $5-per-gun donation to the NRA Foundation. This is non-obligatory on behalf of the buyer; however, if you do make a donation, Poulin Auction Company will match your donation up to $5 per gun. The entire proceeds collected from this program will then be donated to the NRA Foundation.

     The proceeds of this program are to be used in perpetuity for the sole purpose of educating youth in firearms skill & safety. James D. Julia Auctioneers, Inc. is also instituting this same program. Both companies strongly believe that while it is important to donate money to the NRA for purposes of dealing with anti-gun legislation, it is also important to foster, nurture, and encourage an ever expanding constituency of youthful new collectors, shooters, and hunters.

     Participants in this program will receive a letter informing them of its success and  how much was donated to the NRA Foundation. We hope you will consider joining us in this very worthwhile project. Thank You.
